Narrow Upper Arch

We can guide the growth of the upper jaw in young children (7-10 years) by using what is called palatal expansion. This non invasive process widens their upper arch as it grows. The result is a broader smile and less crowding. When your child is about 11 to 12 years old we can then align (straighten) their teeth with braces or clear aligners. The results of upper palatal expansion are permanent.
